1pt win Walk In The Mill @5/1, 13:30 Aintree, Saturday

3m2f William Hill Becher Handicap Chase (Grade 3)

The Becher Chase looks set to be dominated by those with course form again. Le Breuil is the best handicapped in this from last years’ runner having ran well in for a long way before fading into seventh. And runner-up, Kimberlight Candy, probably wants a longer trip so we are tipping WALK IN THE MILL for a second season running and think he has a cracking chance of making it three wins in a row.

I would have fancied him for the Grand National earlier in the year if it had taken place but sadly it didn’t. Walk In The Mill has had a typical prep run arguably running better at Ascot than he did prior to his win in this last season.

The cheekpieces were off at Ascot, they are back on here, he is 1lb lower and in the same ground conditions at Aintree as in 2019, I’m sticking with an old favourite to demonstrate again that he is a different proposition on this track and over these fences.
