A fantastic race with three really good mares at the top of the market. Hype has taken hold, though, as the word on Brighterdaysahead is hugely positive. I’m not convinced she deserves to be shorter than JADE DE GRUGY given the way Willie Mullins’s week is going compared to Gordon Elliott’s, who’s still searching for his first winner. Jade De Grugy has been brilliant in two starts over hurdles and looks like a high-class mare in the making. I can’t find a single negative to her chance other than the 5lb she has to concede to the excellent Dysart Enos. However with that mare looking all speed and the ground riding tacky, I think the big-framed Mullins horse will land this.
