Kempton tips: Mr One More (7/1), Switch Hitter (15/2ew)

MR ONE MORE has a big chance at 7/1. He returned from nearly three years off the track to run a blinder at Chepstow, jumping pretty well on his chase debut and staying all the way to the line. He beat subsequent Supreme Novices’ winner Summerville Boy as a novice hurdler and clearly has talent, so a mark of 136 looks to have loads of headroom. The favourite Alnadam is an obvious danger.

I like the 127-rated SWITCH HITTER here, who should get his good ground. He’s a course and distance winner at Kempton last time out and the second has since bolted up and gone on to be rated 133. They raced off level weights but Switch Hitter did it quite cosily, so I’d imagine he’s got more headroom than the 6lb between their revised ratings. It’s no negative that Bryony Frost rides in the same race as their yard’s number one jockey Harry Cobden as Frost often maintains winning associations with horses, especially front runners which are her forte. That might not be fully accounted for in the market so I suspect there’s some juice in his 15/2 price, and with six places offered each-way by Sky Bet I think that’s the way to go.
