6f Unibet Richmond Stakes (Group 2) (Colts & Geldings) (Class 1) (2yo)
This race has been kind to us with two winners from the last three renewals, and I fancy Clive Cox’s CATURRA to keep that good run going. He’s 12/1 and has a lot in his favour as he’s travelled powerfully but been found wanting at the end of 6f, suggesting he might want to drop back to 5f. Goodwood is a much easier six, so that should really help him and he should be up on the pace despite a wide draw. The draw shouldn’t count for much if he breaks well and the bigger concern would be the unpredictable ground. All concerns are well accounted for in the price, though.
