There’s a good shape to this market as I’m not sure the odds-on fav Samuel Colt deserves to be so short. He’s won a maiden and placed in a Group Three and has to prove he stays a mile too – hardly a rock solid profile. I’m taking him on with ECUREUIL SECRET at 8/1. An unbeaten maiden winner and son of my favourite sire Wootton Bassett, he’s had a run and has proven himself over the mile already so there really is very little not to like apart from his form being completely untested. With such a big price disparity versus the favourite I’m happy to play.
