A trial for the Arc itself, the Group Two Prix Neil runs at Chantilly on Sunday and Japanese Derby winner Makahiki is a tight odds-on price to advertise his claims for the Arc itself, where he is up with the favourites.
He looks like Japan’s leading hope this year but has to prove it in Europe and I want to take him on with the well-bred MIDTERM fancied to strike for Sir Michael Stoute.
