Just the one pick this weekend, with ROBIN OF NAVAN backed to bounce back to form at Newbury.
Some 70cm+ rain has fallen at the track this week and the soggy going is right up his street, as he was a Group One winner last season on a similar surface.
Well fancied for the French Derby, he led the field along for much of the race before quickly weakening in the final furlongs.
A muscle injury sustained in the race was blamed by connections, which possibly means his best form is yet to be revealed.
For that reason I fancy him to get the better of Dartmouth, the Hardwicke Stakes winner, who has to overcome a penalty for that success and hasn’t been in great form since.
