Excuse the late selection, but I’ve just seen YORKER is running in a Listed race at Sandown this afternoon, and he looks big at 9/4.
A Grade 1-winner in South Africa, he’s been switched over to William Haggis’s yard in England and made a fine reappearance behind Scottish at York’s Ebor meet.
We tipped him at 16/1 that day and he ran very well, so with improvement highly likely and everything else in this Sandown field rated well below him, I can’t understand why he’s the price he is.
He’s got an entry in the Group One Champion Stakes at Ascot in October, so presumably this is a prep race, but he looked in good nick at York and should have the class to get the better of this field.
2pts win Yorker @9/4, 15:50 Sandown, Wednesday
