Another case of young guns trying to dethrone the old guard Paisley Park, Dashel Drasher and Champ from top British staying races. I struggle to find much to like about Crambo’s chances and he’s 8lb wrong with the mare WEST BALBOA at the weights. The Skelton horse is on a steep upward curve and should relish this three mile test, based on her pedigree and a commanding handicap win at Aintree last season. She thumped two graded horses on her seasonal reappearance and will be hard to beat here. Blueking D’Oroux is the potential big improver but he’s only got a 1lb allowance for being a 4yo and has stamina to prove.
