Inspiral is all the rage for this after facile wins in her three starts to date, and there aren’t really any negatives besides price and the fact that she’s up against improving fillies. There’s a nice shape to this market if you want to take her on, and I strongly fancy Godolphin’s WILD BEAUTY to get a lot closer to her than when they met at Sandown. Inspiral was the best horse on the day but slightly impeded the selection, who took a while to find her stride before staying on. She got no cover that day and looked awkward running on a right handed track on fast ground, but her dam only showed form on softer ground and she showed marked improvement next time out when, despite doing everything wrong, bolting up in a Canadian Grade 1 raced on good ground on a left-handed track. This looks a simple case of the market being plain wrong as there’s no way she should be 12/1 after that performance, and with only three lengths to find with the odds-on favourite I think she should be half the price.
