2m (Winter) Ladbrokes Football “Acca-Boosty” Handicap Hurdle (Class 3) (3yo+ 0-140)
After Epatante bolted up in yesterday’s Christmas Hurdle, the form of French Crusader and ELUSIVE BELLE has received a major boost. Both contest this handicap hurdle, and whilst French Crusader has gone up 4lb and encounters far softer going – which she apparently doesn’t want – the bet has to be Elusive Belle who escapes without a penalty and should have improved for her first run of the season. This is a weak looking race so I’ve no qualms over taking the 7/2 as she doesn’t need to improve to win this. The one to keep an eye on is the Paul Nicholls-trained Miranda, who ran a shocker on reappearance but gets her optimal conditions and should strip much fitter for the run.
